India is known as land of villages with 6, 40,687 in number. According to Census 2011, the population of India was 121 crore with 83.3crore persons living in rural and 37.7 crore living in urban areas. More than 70% of our population lives in rural areas. Even after independence, these rural areas are still under the process of development. After the waves of globalisation, the Indian economy is blooming. The rural markets are insulated from the global meltdown. This has also affected the growth of Indian rural economy. The major attributes to this growth are modernisation of farming, expansion of education, transportation and access to better primary health facilities. The literacy rate in rural area has increased by 10.2% in last 10 years. An amount of Rs.12, 500 crores are submitted by rural India to the national income. It is observed that rural India likes to contribute in the overall growth of economy & is very proactive to adapt the new ways of modernisation and innovation. According to industrialist, “Future drivers of growth are rural India.” At the backdrop of this scenario, the present project of Portable Home / Mobile Home is aimed to put forth an inclusive model for the growth of agriculture and to provide product that can enhance the comfort and status level to reduce stress and anxiety of farmers who are involved in the hard work of farming.

This study uses the mathematical software Maple for the auxiliary tool to study the differential problem of two types of functions. We can obtain the closed forms of any order derivatives of these two types of functions by using Leibniz differential rule. In addition, we provide two examples to do calculation practically. The research methods adopted in this study involved finding solutions through manual calculations and verifying these solutions by using Maple. This type of research method not only allows the discovery of calculation errors, but also helps modify the original directions of thinking from manual and Maple calculations. Therefore, Maple provides insights and guidance regarding problem-solving methods.

The paper presents a method for investigating the bending stress at the critical section of “Asymmetric Involute spur Gear”. The method, ISO/TC- 60 has been used to theoretically calculate bending stress at the critical section of this Gear. The determination of the tooth form factor, stress concentration factor, critical section parameters and contact ratio has been accomplished for each set of gear. The gears with different pressure angle have been modelled by using “CATIA V-5 R15”software.The results obtained by theoretical method have been verified by using “ANSYS 12.0 software”. The comparative analysis of bending stress at critical section has been carried out.

The present study investigates the effect of magnetic field on the performance of Single Cylinder Four Stroke Spark Ignition engine. The study concentrates on the effect of magnetic field the engine performance parameters such as fuel consumption, break thermal efficiency and exhaust emissions and on fuel properties like density and calorific value. The magnetic field is applied along the fuel line immediately before carburetor. The magnetic field is applied with the help of strong permanent magnets of strength 5000 gauss. The experiments are conducted at different engine loading conditions. The exhaust gas emissions such as CO, CO2, HC and NOX are measured by using an exhaust gas analyser. With the application of magnetic field the percentage reduction in fuel consumption is about 12 %, the percentage reduction in HC and CO is about 27% and 11 % respectively. The NOx level in engine increases with the application of magnetic field. The percentage increase in NOx is about 19%. The effect of magnetic field on percentage increase of CO2 emissions from SI engine is about 7 %.

A developed finite element analysis investigation into failure behaviour of woven fabric laminated composite plate subjected to dynamic loads was undertaken using ANSYS. Transient analysis was carried out for two different boundary conditions viz. Clamped Free Free Free (C-F-F-F) and Clamped Free Clamped Free (C-F-C-F) boundary conditions. Work was concentrated on studying failure criteria in woven glass/epoxy laminate for both before and after damage conditions. Dynamic load is applied to the plate in form of half sine wave. Failure analysis of woven laminates was analysed bases on Tsai-Wu theory.

The hard and heterogeneous nature of the metamorphic rocks, offer a significant challenge for the machining of the same. However, these types of materials are finding more and more applications in areas ranging from construction materials to home appliances. Very often these require machining operation to have finished products. At present single point based cutting tools are used for machining. This has the disadvantage of high wear rate and high temperature at the tip of the cutting tool leading to the premature failure of the same. Previous studies have revealed that, in spite of the hard varieties of cutting tool used, the tool life has little improvement in machining of rocks. Thus single point cutting tools have got little importance in this scenario. This research project mainly focuses on the turning aspects of metamorphic rocks using multi point cutting tool such as self-propelled rotary cutting tools.

Finite Element Method (FEM) and the Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) are standard methods in the automotive industry for the prediction of vibrational and acoustical response of vehicles. However, both methods are not capable of handling the so called “mid frequency problem”, where both short and long wavelength components are present in the same system. A Hybrid method has been recently proposed that rigorously couples SEA and FEM. In this work, the Hybrid FE-SEA method has been used to create fast/efficient model of structure-borne noise in a fully trimmed vehicle from 200Hz to 1 kHz. This paper first describes simple guidelines used to partition the vehicle into stiff components described with FE and modally dense components described with SEA. It is also demonstrated how detailed local FE models can be used to improve SEA descriptions of car panels and couplings. After review of the Hybrid FE-SEA models of a full vehicle that were built, sample experimental validation results of interior Sound Pressure Levels and panel vibration are shown for both bare and fully trimmed vehicle configurations.

The form drilling riveting is an advanced joining process of aluminum alloys. The purpose of this work is to made new type of form drilling – riveting tool. In addition, the effect of speed rate, feed rate and cone radius ratio on thrust, torque and heat generated were investigated. The significance of influence parameters on their quality characteristics were examined by ANOVA. The optimal combination of parameters for speed and feed were determined based on Signal to Noise ratio. Since the process has multiple performance characteristics, the grey relational analysis is used. The grey relational grade normalizes the contradicting performance indices. From eighteen experiments based on the orthogonal array of L18 the best combination of parameters were found. Compared with Taguchi’s method the proposed method is more scientific. The experimental results confirm that the proposed method in this study effectively improves the machining performance of Form Riveting process.

This project deals with the computational fluid dynamics analysis of air flow in stationary drum partially filled with solid material. This involves with the three dimensional analysis of air flow through a drum having tangential inlet and axial outlet. The software and analysis are to be carried out by ANSYSFLUENT. ANSYS FLUENT is Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software in which flow fields and other physics are calculated in detail for various engineering applications. The analysis was done to analyze velocity and temperature distribution, pressure, air flow and turbulence. The models are first generated and then are meshed and then various velocity and pressure contours are to be drawn and graphed in this paper to analyze the air flow through drum. Standard k - ε turbulence model is allowed to predict the three-dimensional flow and the conjugate various profiles.
